As beginner or a professional photographer there are few things more satisfying and priceless than mastering a new techniques in photography. Learning a new photography techniques an open up new possibilities, you alone have to provide endless potential for inspiration, and it can help you get out of a creative rut.

Your camera has more to it than first meets the eye – be ready to impress yourself with new techniques.

  • High speed photography

One of the things that make a high speed photography intriguing is that it freezes moments in time that are too fast for the naked eye to see. The trick with these techniques is a tripod, a narrow aperture, flash, and a ton of patience.

  • Night photography

The fun will always start when the sun goes down – that’s for sure. There is plenty of life to capture after dark. To have high quality night photography you need to have a super slow shutter speed and a tripod or solid surface to steady your camera for long exposures. Do not forget to experiment the rule of thirds.

  • Motion blur

It is the art of capturing a moving subject. This technique is often used in sports photography, but can also be used in creating interesting images with light or fast moving subject. To effectively capture the moving subject you have to slow down your shutter speed and hold your camera still as your subject moves –you can also pan your camera.

  • Black and white photography

When this is done effectively – it conveys deep emotion or drama. But there are more to black and white than just hitting the black and white filter from your camera. The effective black and white photography starts with the composition, making use of shadows, lighting, and strong subjects to create powerful image.

  • Monochromatic color photography

This technique captures images in a single hue or color. Much like black and white photography, monochromatic photography has a powerful way of conveying a message without so much detail.

  • Smoke art photography

This can be challenging, yet extremely rewarding once achieve – smoke trails create a mysterious and captivating images.

  • Macro photography

Rewarding and priceless technique, it is exciting to make huge images of subjects that are tiny, capturing the minute details that are invisible to the naked eye.

There are a lot of techniques that you can master these are just some of it. The greatest thing about mastering photography techniques is finding a new way to incorporate them into your everyday compositions.
